Witness in the World Committee

 

This committee reflects upon leadings and burdens suggested by members of Cleveland Friends Meeting.

We invite Spirit to guide our discernment of those leadings which affect the larger body, and then organize minutes or activities which express our collective response. Sometimes the committee responds to an individual Friend's search for unity of purpose in their own leading.
 
When an outside group or another Friends organization contacts the committee, the convener tries to send copies of that communication to committee members, and follows with discussion at a regularly scheduled meeting. Not every appeal for involvement will result in action. Rather, this committee tries to discern the path where Spirit is leading the Meeting.

Committee meets first First Day of the Month, after soup, in the library of the Meetinghouse. Committee meetings are open to Friends and attenders.
